Introduction - part 1

Nice to meet you

Hello!! I'm Yusuke of the blogger. Thank you for visiting this poor blog. I'll probably write very slowly but I'll do my best to make sure everyone has fun.

With this blog, I introduce my favorite Japanese liquor and food. They serve as my English learning.

As can be seen, I'm poor at English ability. So I will effort to use photo image as much as possible.

Opening

Suddenly, do you drink liquor? If you drink, what do you drink? Beer? Wine? Whiskey? Brandy? Other spirits? There are many many various liquor of the world. Therefore I drink various liquor. I don't have an opportunity to drink about the wine very much, but drink beer and the whiskey frequently. About the whiskey, I like "ARDBEG 10 Year Old" of the Scottish Islay Island. About the beer, I like ale and like German Weizen in particular. I like liquor of the good fragrance generally.

There are various liquor in my house. I explain them sequentially from the left to right, Japanese rice wine (Sake), Japanese sweet potato distilled spirits (Shochu), beer (Lager and ale), Red wine, Scotch whiskey, Japanese whiskey. Which do you drink?

Although, I drink the Japanese-Rice-Wine called the Sake in particular in them frequently. Do yo know Sake? The Japanese Government sells a Japanese Rice Wine with a brand called the Sake abroad, but is not recognized for my thought that much. There will be few people who have drunk even if some know the name. I think that there are few liquor having a range of the taste and easy to understand as this. Taste sweet. And I feel irritating that they are hardly recognized toward the foreign country.

These are liquor dedicated to Ise Grand Shrine of Mie. All these are liquor produced in Mie prefecture and, one brewery dedicates it to here one by one. There are many breweries in the small prefecture, and most are things from the Edo era and the Meiji era.

Culture of the Sake is Culture of Japanese dietary culture. For example, the Soba shop who can eat the soba which is popular as Japanese noodle was one side as the bar in the Edo era. In old days, Soba was eat in the last when drank liquor. Because the appetite increases it as blood sugar level falls when the person consumes alcohol and balance of internal sodium and potassium collapses, saltiness strongly wants to eat food with the volume finally. Therefore, there is much food that affinity with the liquor was considered in the Japanese dish for several hundred years, and some Sake is sold in most dishes shop even now.

This is Hirame (Flounder) bowl in Ajigasawa, Aomori.  There is the Sake in the right depths. Fish dishes and the affinity of the Sake are high among other things.

However, such culture gradually became outdated by diversification of the food culture. The people fell into a thought stop, and the tactless people who drank beer increased by any meal. People in itself who drank liquor decreased, and the consumption of the Sake decreased year by year, too.

The liquor is culture. It's my thought to have a duty to succeed to the culture the person of each generation. As the part, I intend to introduce the culture to various people that I want to spread it for a people from different countries mainly.

Transition of a consumption and the number of of the sake the breweries. All two of them drop approximately half of the heyday.

Therefore, this blog introduces the liquor and correct food which is not recognized very much toward a people from different countries unlike general dish introduction blog. It's only a unavailability food to eat them if you are not staying in Japan, but I'm glad when I can refer to it if there is the opportunity when you come to Japan.

It is pleasure of the trip to drink liquor in a train. (At Bungomori station, Oita) This Sake is Iwanokura (岩の蔵) in Saga.

See you next time.
